Marketing Communications Manager

Responsible for coordinating the organization’s overall communications strategy and execution. Marketing Communications Manager must use a variety of innovative techniques and strategies to successfully market Construction Specialties (CS) to a variety of markets and audiences utilizing traditional and digital platforms and mediums. This requires utilization of market research, the use of KPIs to track and improve effectiveness,, as well as partnering with business unit product management and marketing leadership to develop and implement communications strategies.

- Partners with Product Management and Marketing leadership to understand and capitalize on business needs and opportunities.
- Develops and executes marketing promotion plans and campaigns for new product launches and ongoing support including sales tools
- Conceptualizes and executes Marketing campaigns
- Manages brand positioning and brand architecture within guidelines. Consistent look & feel, tone of voice, graphic design, logos
- Collaborates with cross-functional team - from creative, marketing technology and production to legal – to produce effective promotional materials. Heavily involved with projects relating to search engine optimization, website updates, social media and email automation
- Oversee and manage video production, photography, graphic design, animation, copywriting and marketing automation
- Manages day to day activity with PR, press and marketing communications vendors and partners
- Edit materials according to specific market or customer requirements and manage for accuracy
- Operate within the defined indirect budget
- Develops schedules and maintain deadlines
- Provide leadership and direction to Marketing Communications services team members

Qualifications (Text Only)

- Excellent written communication skills required.  Writing, grammar, editing, and messaging are critical.
- Marketing Communications strategy and execution
- Brand management
- Managing communications and understanding of modern communications tools and processes.
- Organized, accurate, and comfortable collaborating with other departments
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Preferred: Experience with Marketo, Google Analytics, Adobe and Sitecore (Content Management System)
- 5+ years of  experience in communications, marketing, and/or advertising
- Demonstrated experience managing employees and leading a team
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
- Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
- Superior project management and time management skills
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytic and fact-based decision-making skills
- Travel as business needs require
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or other related field
