Overview (Text Only)

Maintains an orderly and efficiently operating warehouse and ensures an accurate inventory. Supplies necessary materials to all other departments. Receives materials as well as ships finished goods to customers accurately and on time as directed.  
Supply Chain Department:
- Locate and move materials (talc, colorant, film, regrind, etc.) as directed by Supply Chain Manager/Supervisor, production management system (BPCS), or management.
- Identify all materials not previously identified. Write on tags and attach the description and weight of materials to all products needing identification.
- Consolidate material as necessary.
- Track, shelve, and redistribute regrind (scrap) material as required.
- Ensures inventory is controlled and accounted for as required.
- Utilize barcode scanners and technology to assist in controls
- Load materials in accordance with standard procedure unless otherwise noted.

Responsibilities (Text Only)

 Shipping & Receiving:
- Read all incoming freight bills, bills of lading and packing lists to verify accuracy with purchase orders.  
- Compare packing list for accuracy with actual materials shipped.
- Unload materials by driving fork lift, pallet jack, or lifting and carrying.
- Record materials received on receiving log or in BPCS.
- Note any and all damage or shortage on bills of lading and obtaining driver’s signature.
- Weigh incoming materials on a random or designated basis
- Store or deliver incoming material as appropriate or instructed.
- Stage/schedule out bound goods before pick up
- Load materials in accordance with standard procedure unless otherwise noted.
- Identify and repair material packaging damaged throughout the warehouse.
- Maintain a celarn and orderly warehouse.  Sweep, empty trash and keep floor clean of debris to maintain a safe and clean environment at all times.
- Performs all other duties assgined by management/supervisor.
 

Qualifications (Text Only)

- High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to read, write and perform basic mathematical problems.
- Previous warehouse and shipping/receiving is desired but not required.
- Georgia Work Ready certified minimum requirements: Applied Mathematics 4 / Locating Information 4 / Reading for Information 4 (Silver)
- Forklift Certification preferred but must be able to attain within ninety days of hiring.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematics and problem solving
- Ability to understand and interpret information from one or two graphics
- Able to operate and/or use the following instruments and equipment: Forklift, pallet jack, two wheeled dolly, carts, bander and crimper, utility knife, electric and hand held stretch wrap machines, barcode scanners.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
