Construction Specialties (CS), a leading manufacturer of specialty architectural building products internationally, with over 30 locations in 20 countries worldwide.  CS is currently looking for a General Sales Manager to cover the South Central Region of the United States.  This is a remote position.  Ideal candidate would reside close to a major airport within the South Central area in a city like Dallas or Houston. The General Sales Manager position is responsible for ensuring our sales channels members (SCM), and the sales team within assigned each region, have the tools and knowledge necessary to lead the sales channels effectively to achieve regional and corporate goals. The sales channel members in each territory is primarily comprised of independent sales representatives/agencies but also may include direct CS sales and specification representatives.

Utilizes standard MIG and TIG techniques on both ferrous and nonferrous metals.

This position supports our Interior Wall Protection (IWP) Business Unit.  Actively follows on quotations with each Sales Rep. Actively pursues closings & profit through accuracy & working within guidelines. Coordinates with Regional Sales Support Assistants in providing sales order analysis. Assists Reg. Sales Manager with pre-sales activities to ensure maximum sales/profits. Works closely with Estimators to coordinate job bidding within territory. Assists in supervisor responsibilities in the absence of or as requested by the Regional Sales Manager.

Maintains an orderly and efficiently operating warehouse and ensures an accurate inventory. Supplies necessary materials to all other departments. Receives materials as well as ships finished goods to customers accurately and on time as directed.  Supply Chain Department:- Locate and move materials (talc, colorant, film, regrind, etc.) as directed by Supply Chain Manager/Supervisor, production management system (BPCS), or management.- Identify all materials not previously identified. Write on tags and attach the description and weight of materials to all products needing identification.- Consolidate material as necessary.- Track, shelve, and redistribute regrind (scrap) material as required.- Ensures inventory is controlled and accounted for as required.- Utilize barcode scanners and technology to assist in controls- Load materials in accordance with standard procedure unless otherwise noted.
